Recently, former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett wrote in the Herald Sun newspaper about the optimum time for a leader to be leading an organisation or a group of people. In a startling admission, he identified an optimum period of leadership as between six and nine years (coincidently his term as Premier was seven years).
